"Jimmy Nardello" Pepper Seeds
An Italian heirloom from Basilicata. It is named after the son of the man who saved the seed and brought it to Connecticut in 1887. This super sweet italian frying pepper has been recognized by Slow Food USA’s “Ark of Taste” as a variety that is valued and in need of preservation. These compact, nearly “spindly” plants always look “a tad sketchy” at first...leading you to think they might not be productive or delicious...but this is not the case. off these “sketchy” looking plants come the sweetest tasting peppers you’ve ever had in your life. Long, red, slender, and typically curled, they tend to have a single to triple ribbing at the top. Jimmy is definitely a fellow that you need to have around in your garden at all times! He’s always productive and sweet-what more could you want in a man-I mean pepper!
