"Arikara" Sunflower Seeds
A diverse beautiful gene line! First discovered in 1805 by botanical explorers who were spending time with the Arikara natives surrounding the Missouri river. An early and cold hardy type, the Arikara people would plant these as the ice broke on the river. A gorgeous and diverse race of sunflower. Some plants produce large single head blooms, while others produce branching multihead blooms. Embrace the randomness! Edible seeds with diverse patterns. Grows well even in poor soils.
