Russian Sugar Peas
Russian sugar peas are awesome! Super sweet and productive plants have been grown by Russian Mennonites in Saskatchewan for several generations. These peas have both bright pink and light purple flowers which are highly ornamental! These peas are generally harvested as a snap pea for fresh eating, but are also a great shelling pea once they get fat AND a decent dried pea for soups, etc. Vines are usually around 6 feet tall and would like to be supported by a trellis of some sort. They will grow in full to half sun and prefer well drained soil.
